The forest felt like a home to this once kind half-breed, she had fled to the forest, hoping to stay free from the Demon Slayers. So, far, she had succeed in staying hidden from anyone's view. Especially, the humans that she so dearly hated. Every now and then, a human would stray into the forest, but to only find themselves disappearing before they could return safely to their filthy village.
Today was different, something about the forest seemed different. Ice sat in a tree, relaxed. There hadn't been any humans coming into the forest looking for her, the Demon Slayers had stayed away from the forest, hearing the stories about a demon being able to be unseen. Only one Demon Slayer still came looking for her, but failed each time. Today seems calmer than usual. she thought. She wasn't aware that there was someone walking within the forest without her knowing it.
After a while, Ice started to drift off into sleep. Nothing was bothering her, no creature had came to annoy her. Not even the demons that lived within the forest itself, had come near her. Ice was happy, and slowly fell asleep, unaware of another person walking about in the forest, and her in full view of anything or anyone to see her. |
