Dear Leaf Shinobi,
If you are reading this letter it means I have long since past away and a new hokage as now been chosen. Although many of you might not know me, my name is Minato Namikaze of the hidden leaf village. I was also know as the Yellow Flash of Konaha and the Fourth Hokage.
Back then I put my very life on the line to protect this village, my home, my family. There are many things that I must explain to you but to do so, we must rewind time. We must go back to the very beginning, to before any of this ever happened.
Everything started when I was still in the academy. I was known as a prodigy among my peers but foolish for announcing my life long dream to become Hokage one day. Foolish especially in the eyes of Kushina, the one person who I would later fall in love with and give birth to a son which we would never be able to see.
Close your eyes and wait as the chakra I infused in this letter enters your mind. With this you will be able to see what my past was like and how I grew up to become a great man whom the entire village would admire. With this, I give you my leave...
